We had a great Easter.  Most of the family was together (except those in Africa who we missed very much).   We had my nieces over on Saturday for egg dying and then spent the evening hanging out.  I made no bake cheesecake and a wonderful dip.

Sunday morning we got up and surprised my Grandma on my mom’s side and Grandpa on my dad’s side at church.  An egg hunt followed at the church and the girls were off to change clothes.  We went to the annual egg hunt at the High School.  One of my Grandma’s children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren has been in the egg hunt every year for at least the last 45 years.  What a family tradition!  My girls hunted eggs with their sixth cousins.

It was cold and rainy most of the day, and I was having such a good time enjoying the day I did not take a single picture.  I will share a picture taken this week of a beautiful tree in downtown Salem.  I love spring when the blossoms are out and flowers are everywhere.

Off to lunch, a gift exchange, a raw egg toss, and another egg hunt.  This one had a mixture of real and plastic eggs.  Emmy was so funny.  She would not pick up the real eggs.  She was all about the prizes.  I wish I had a picture of Hope’s basket.  She did her fair share of picking up all the eggs.  There were so many in her basket I thought it was going to break and sent her in for a sack.

We drove home that evening.  On the drive home I stopped for gas and a quick break.  Emmy told me she was very tired.  I wonder how that happened.

Hope you had a great weekend, I know I really enjoyed mine.

Last night I was trying to cut fabric for a skirt I am working on. I had a “helper” with me. She was winding her way around my legs and being very cute until the scraps started to fall. Then she turned into a terror.

Here’s a sneak peak into my project.
